In Randy Thornhill v. Mobile Tech, our client was pinned between a truck and a loading dock. We settled this case in 211 for well into the six figures. This caused an injury to his low back which required back surgery. We represented another woman who was on the side of the road with her stalled her vehicle, when a truck came by and side swiped her car, this caused her to fly from the car and caused her to incur injuries. Our newspapers are replete with news stories of truckers who crash into cars and cause major accidents on our highways. We represented another woman who was rear ended by a large truck. This caused her vehicle to crash into four other vehicles. She had her seatbelt, and luckily enough only suffered soft tissue injuries. However, she did undergo seven months of physical therapy before she was better. She had one month of wage loss damages. Mark Cantor obtained a settlement for her of $92,000.00. In another case, Gary Burger represented Kate McDonald who had a friend driving her car when she struck a Ryder moving truck that had been stalled on the side of the road. This caused severe injuries to Kate and we obtained a $675,000.00 settlement in her case in 2010.
In the Matter of Anthony Walsh, Cantor and Burger successfully recovered for Mr. Walsh’s family both in Missouri Workers’ Compensation, and in civil court, when he was run over by an 18 wheel vehicle while working.
